 The Village of Elbow Council regretfully accepted the resignation of Joe Gumulcak effective March 31st, 2021.  We would like to thank Joe for all his hard work and the many extra hours that he put in both on and off the clock. We will miss your smile and infectious laugh. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

It's great to finally have a winter with snow . . . but please remember that snowmobiles are NOT allowed in the Community Park/Orchard or on the Elbow Trail (other than designated people grooming the trail).

The Village of Elbow Council regretfully accepted the resignation of Yvonne Jess, effective Feb 26, 2021. We would like to extend a “Thank You” to Yvonne for all the time and effort she put into the job as our Village Administrator. Words aren’t enough to express our gratefulness and appreciation of the level of work experience she has brought to our team for over 19 years.  It is not easy saying goodbye to someone who has been such a valued team member. We will miss all of her expertise and knowledge.

 Village of Elbow seeks Administrator

The Village of Elbow is seeking applications for the position of Administrator.

The Administrator oversees the Office Assistant and the Village Foreman, and provides support to the Mayor and Council.

The successful candidate must possess superior verbal and written communication skills; have a strong knowledge in municipal accounting and finance; exhibit leadership and is community oriented.

Preference will be given to those applicants that have their certificate in Local Government Administration, already possessing an Urban Standard Certificate or are willing to take the necessary classes to obtain their certification. Preference will also be given to applicants with 2 or more years’ experience in urban municipal administration. Experience and knowledge of MuniSoft municipal software will be considered an asset. Excellent communication, time management, and public relations skills are required. The position offers a competitive wage based on the UMAAS Salary Guideline, pension plan and a group benefit plan.

Start date and wage is negotiable based on experience.
